PROJECT MANAGEMENT

SMALL BUSINESS

A local restaurant owner in Providence wanted an back-lit ad for a high-profile sign in the lobby of the Rhode Island Convention Center. The owner wanted one ad to capture two distinct restaurant locations, as well as attract visiting audiences to new seasonal menu offerings and rotating specials.

For this small-scale project, I collaborated with the owner from design to production, and worked with printers, sign developers, and the RI Convention Center to execute the result.

TAKE-A-WAYS

  • Use sketches to flesh out ideas.

  • Engage stakeholders as part of the process, from beginning to end.

  • At every step in the life-cycle of a project you have the opportunity to engage and delight people who contribute to the outcome.

  • Identify milestones and give them a deadline, especially if there are dependencies.
